Why We're Doing This
Rather than treating AI as an add-on, FR-AI-DAY embeds it into how we work, build, and think. This is an investment in accelerating our collective AI capability with a specific focus on KIRO tooling and AI-driven development skills.
What Success Looks Like
- Increased confidence using AI tools like KIRO
- Tangible improvements in how we build and ship products
- A culture of experimentation and shared learning
- Stronger alignment between AI capability and product delivery
Three-Phase Approach
1. Kick-off: Foundational Session
A KIRO 101 session to establish a baseline understanding, provide practical guidance, and get everyone hands-on quickly.
⚠️ Prerequisite: Ensure KIRO is installed locally before the session.
2. Hands-On Use Case Development
Work individually or collaboratively on defined use cases. Explore how KIRO and AI can solve real product or engineering challenges from the central use case library.

Share outputs and learnings via the Product Team meeting. Demonstrate practical applications and experiments. Colin Willis will provide feedback and recommendations.
Rules of Engagement
The following will always take precedence when required:
- Critical production issues
- Live incidents
- Time-sensitive release preparation
Key Principles
- This is not a competition or ranking exercise
- Goal: collective progress & shared learning
- Continuous improvement over perfection
- Use cases contributed by the whole team
- Learn, build, and innovate together
